Muscle Toning
Have you used E-stim or TENS unit for muscle toning?
I'm curious about the use of E-stim and / or tens unit for toning muscles to a normal person. For example, how would it work? Since it is difficult to use? Would you use on such a high speed to make it prohibitive? I know that the TENS unit is used for pain management. I'm not sure how it differs from E-stim. Please do not point out the obvious answer, that the exercise is the best way to tone muscle. I know. My question is on the effects of these medical devices. Thank you!
when I went to therapy for my knee they have used the TENS unit and E-Stim to strengthen my muscles to keep my ball better aligned quad. If you used the TENS machine you would have to put on a high enough setting to build muscle, because it feels basically like a tingling sensation to relieve pain, as you said "pain management". But they used the E-Stim for build muscle as it contracts to make the muscle stronger. BUT it is very uncomfortable in my opinion. you have absolutely no control over the muscle of its conected to kick when he. this is not a constant thing, it then contracts disclosed. Honestly, I think you would be better and would build muscle faster if you lifted weights. This coming from someone who has used both. Good Luck, hope that helps
